I went to high school with Trey, and loved the band. Their friends were all really friendly and cool, too. I thought Matt C. had a bad accident at work that messed up his thumb for a while. I remember him singing for a show or two with his arm all bandaged up and him on painkillers. That would have been ‘86 or ‘87. I always hoped it healed up right because, as you said, he was a tremendous drummer.

Oh, and all those dudes had insane record collections! And they did make up their own expressions, or at least ones I never heard before. They called the 7-11 “the Sev,” [as in, “Wanna go hang at the Sev?” (which they did ALL THE TIME)] and would say about a guy, “he’s a cool head.” Stuff like that. I was In awe of the whole thing,

GlenAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3174072383132981333.post-38753106580661959742017-09-23T20:42:18.641-07:002017-09-23T20:42:18.641-07:00Fatal Error just release a split album with Modern...Fatal Error just release a split album with Modern Enemy in the new series of "Mystic Double's" on red vinyl. Epic party and epic band. Used to hang with these guys at Chatsworth High and go see them any chance I could. I agree with Matt that I wouldn't trade growing up in the 80's punk scene for nothing. Matt was by far the best punk drummer I have ever seen driving the band's sound with blazing speed. Wish I had some of their music now. Nice to hear the impact our tunes had on you. I always felt we kinda slipped through the cracks seeing what some other bands were putting out, but, thats how it goes. Wouldent trade being a teen growing up in the 80's punk scene for nothing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
