MELVINS TOUR DIARY: THE STRUTTING BUZZ OSBORNE
http://www.spin.com/#articles/melvins-51-states-bono-kurt-cobain-world-record
More feedback:
I absolutely hate this poseur rock star bullshit - "I can say fuck, therefore I am cool." Is Mr. Buzz Osborne going to be looking back on this time in his life happily, when he is 83 and has grandchildren on his knee? No, he is going to think that he spent a hell of a lot of time on meaningless cursing and strutting.

MELVINS TOUR DIARY: GREEN DAY FANS GET HACKED OFF AT TREVOR DUNN!
http://www.spin.com/#articles/melvins-51-states-tour-diary-billie-joe-armstrong
Here is some feedback from this post:
I usually refrain from posting comments; but, i could not in this particular case. Simply because your band blows, and you never received any of the notoriety Green Day has, and you have not because, again, your band blows, as do your musical abilities, in no way gives you the right to condemn Billie Joe. When you do, you come across as bitter, and in my opinion, quite jealous. Commenting on their band name is also ridiculous as you named your band after a horrible male name. Oh, that was clever. I wonder how you would have acted if you were in his shoes. But then again, since your band blows, i suppose we will never know. Stick to writing blogs for your three fans, and stop trash talking Green Day as well as Billie Joe.
This is the reason that so few people actually seek help with their problems.
Trevor Dunn is trying to make the news in the most cynical way possible, by attacking someone for seeking help.
These comments about something that can be very serious are not only callous, but also very atagonistic to other people that may suffer from substance abuse issues, or battling depression, or one of a number of other issues that have such a social stigma attached to them.
Please consider the fact that you don't have all the information about what is happening, and stick to making 'music'
This guy sounds like a JEALOUS teenage girl....SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!

BACK FROM DESTROYING GEORGE THOROGOOD.
Well, I am back. We did it, we set a new world record and it was no big deal. I would like to thank Buzz, Dale, Trevor, Dave and Cliff for being my brothers for this venture. No fights, no bullshit, just a single goal in mind. Take that, George Thorogood....not so "Bad to the Bone" now, huh? HUH?
I am going out with COC next week for two weeks this month, and two weeks in December.
There is also going to be a movie about this Melvins tour. It will be really funny, just a bunch of stupid shit and almost NO MUSIC.
In the meantime, here are a few pictures, with more to come.

POSTERS FOR SALE DURING THE MELVINS LITE TOUR.
These three posters are going on the upcoming Melvins Lite tour in a month. The Beavis and Butthead parody and the "New Mutants" themed poster are all signed and numbered, one hundred copies were made of each of them. They will be ten dollars each.
The Miles Davis parody is multi colored and is printed on some heavy stock glossy paper. Fifty of these were made and they will be on sale for twenty five dollars each.
And there will also be copies of MANCHILD 6 as well as the usual homemade posters plus original art for sale.
And yes, the Melvins will have plenty of new cool stuff as well. It will be a merchandise wet dream or something.
See you all soon..

MANCHILD 6 OUT NOW!
After finally being suckered into fatherhood with the birth of his daughter Willow, Brian Walsby finally says, “goodbye punk rock, hello ad...ulthood” with the release of MANCHILD 6. Joining the ride is new publisher Will Butler of To Live ...a Lie Records. Will somehow believed in Brian enough to spend his own money on someone who obviously is out of touch, has betrayed the scene (any scene, take your pick) and has more or less moved on. Or has he? Despite the nonstop demands of diapers, real life responsibilities and taking the six year old Noble to school most of the time Brian has still somehow found precious time in coming up with new work. Filling out MANCHILD 6 are exclusive interviews straight from Brian’s blog (INTROVERTED LOUDMOUTH) from the last couple of years with lengthy interviews with Richmond’s TANNON PENLAND (LOINCLOTH), Raleigh’s own incredible songwriter KENNY ROBY, The split personality of SCOTT RADINSKY (PULLEY, TEN FOOT POLE, SCARED STRAIGHT) , guitarist for the DESCENDENTS and ALL STEPHEN EGERTON and a lengthy tour diary on the road with MELVINS right before Willow was born. Lots of good reading. So if you are at all interested in punk rock, fatherhood, MELVINS, potshots at people who deserve it, Mad magazine type satire and all of the other things that Brian Walsby is known for, MANCHILD 6 is a must have and a fine addition to a growing collection of hard work

A FAN OF MANCHILD!
This sweaty ruffian really likes issue number five, but for some reason I can't really figure out why.
PULLEY SHIRT AVAILABLE FOR PRE ORDERING AT BRIANWALSBY.NET
And we also have not one but two ALL shirts..one with second vocalist Scott Reynolds and one with current singer Chad Price. The PULLEY shirt also came out quite nice..here are the "press blurbs" for both shirts:
ALL, like the DESCENDENTS, are sort of a musical institution. Bill Stevenson (drums), Karl Alvarez (bass) and Stephen Egerton (guitar) have been playing together since the dawn of time. Together these three have created a sound that is often imitated but never duplicated. Throw in the oddball prog or heavy music tendencies and you have ALL. Even though these three sometimes have one Milo Aukerman behind the mike as the DESCENDENTS, ALL is on a similar path with any of thier three singers that they have had. These two shirts boast two of the band's different singers, the much loved Scott Reynolds and the equally great Chad Price. Each shirt is thematically similar but there are differences (hair length, wrinkles, etc etc). The DESCENDENTS shirt that we did last year went over very well and we are hoping that the ALL shirts will strike a similar chord in people.
A few of the gentlemen in
Ventura County's longstanding band PULLEY are longtime friends of mine from
waaay back. Both singer Scott Radinsky and guitarist Mike Harder were in SCARED
STRAIGHT. I guess this dates us all. I wanted to do a PULLEY shirt because
They’re a great band with a great attitude. They’re goal as a band is to have fun
and they’re not trying make a living playing music. All things considered they
have gone pretty far with that attitude. They have loads of fans all over the
world who don't mind going nuts over a band who is only active part of the year.
In the world of fickle music fans and short attention spans, PULLEY have pulled
off the impossible.
This BAD NEWS BEARS: BREAKING TRAINING parody goes
along quite nicely with Scott Radinsky's day job that he has held down for uh..a
little while now.

MANCHILD 6 IS OUT.
..here it is, kids. The new MANCHILD. For right now it is available through little old me. Below is a little "press blurb" and after that shameless self promotion there is the link to my regular site for purchasing.

THE MELVINS TOUR WAS FUN. HERE IS SOME MORE NEWS..
Here are some concrete things to look forward to:
MANCHILD 6 is just around the corner. I will announce the arrival pretty soon.
I get to go out on the MELVINS LITE fifty shows in fifty days tour in September. It will be insanely hard work but it will be great. I intend to bring a few things to sell specifically for the tour:
Two new MELVINS posters, one being a continuation of the NEW MUTANTS idea and one for a sequel to my BASEBALL FURIES t-shirt awhile back. At least one hundred each, all numbered.
And I will be bringing a extremely rare and homemade book, each numbered. There will be a different cover for each one to boot.
Pretty exciting! There will also be some semblence of music too but we'll see about that one.
